WADE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man is seriously injured after authorities say his throat was cut during an assault in Cumberland County Wednesday night.
Emergency crews treated the victim at the Wade Community Fire Department after he arrived with a severe neck injury and heavy bleeding. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say the incident began along U.S. 301, where another vehicle was reportedly driving aggressively before both vehicles pulled into a parking lot on Main Street.
Witnesses told ABC11 that a fight broke out, and one person used a knife to cut the victim's throat.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate. No arrests have been announced.
