34-year-old man dies at hospital following afternoon shooting in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fayetteville Police are investigating after a shooting that left a man dead.

Officers responded Aug. 20 shortly before 3 p.m. to a 911 call in the 200 block of Early Street.

Officers found a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center but later died from his injuries.

On Tuesday, FPD identified the victim as Anthony Douglas, 34, of Fayetteville.
