Arrest made a month after man killed in shooting at Durham business, police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Nearly a month after a man died after he was found shot inside a business, the Durham Police Department (DPD) said it has charged a suspect.

The shooting happened on Nov. 15 at a business on Morehead Avenue. Police responded to a shooting call around 9:30 p.m. that night and found a man inside with a gunshot wound. The victim, John Henry Singleton, of Durham, later died at a hospital.

On Sunday, police arrested Hashim Black, 52, and charged him with first-degree murder.
