Deputies were sent to a home in the 600 block of Sandpit Road Wednesday morning and discovered the body of 76-year-old Dallis L. Kellis.

He had been shot.
"Deputies are currently conducting a very thorough crime scene search of the residence," said Moore County Sheriff Neil Godfrey.
