Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 800 block of Crawford Street.

They found a man lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital and died after arriving.
Authorities identified the victim as 29-year-old Marcus Montrell McLean of Goldsboro.
