Police said that in the recent case, his actions led to unwanted sexual contact.
Raleigh Police said they got a report of 33-year-old Meredith Cromartie conducting a fake traffic stop last Thursday.
Police said Cromartie then continued to contact the victim and was seen driving near the victim's home.
During the investigation, it was found that another incident had happened the day before, where Cromartie allegedly forced the victim into unwanted sexual contact.

On Monday, Cromartie turned himself in to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
He was served with the outstanding charges from Wake County, including impersonating a law enforcement officer, extortion, sexual battery, and kidnapping.
