DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Rougemont man is celebrating after winning a $100,000 lottery prize.
Brandon Jeffries bought a $3 Powerball ticket online and matched the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in the Dec. 29 drawing.
Because he bought a Power Play ticket, his prize doubled to $100,000 when the 2X multiplier hit.

Jeffries went to lottery headquarters in Raleigh on Friday to claim his winnings and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $72,011.
