The lights are bright and the smiles are even brighter at the North Carolina State Fair on a Friday night. There is action side the pavilions too, local crafters and bakers sharing their talents.
"We want to look around and see the different events. We really like the bake show and to see who wins first place," said Natalie Hoffman.
People tell Eyewitness News because of the dualling events they take traffic into consideration.
Earlier in the week, Eyewitness News spoke to state fair leaders who say a state fair next to a concert isn't ideal.
Meanwhile, the most recent fair numbers show out of the 8 nights so far, there have been less people for seven of those compared to last year.
Still, attendees say that's not going to stop them from having a good time.
"I think it's really important because it supports the local economy and we all need the business to grow," said Hoffman.
