Sunday will be hotter with highs in the low 90s. RDU could tie a record at 92 degrees, and the low 90s continue through Wednesday.
The strong ridge of high pressure breaks down late week, allowing a cold front to approach North Carolina.
Rain chances are increasing as all global models have rain moving in Thursday and lasting into Friday.
After that the models diverge but there is a chance we stay unsettled at times for the holiday weekend.
