NC woman charged in mass-murder plot against synagogue in Houston

LEXINGTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- An 18-year-old North Carolina woman is accused of threatening a mass attack in Houston.

Davidson County resident Angelina Han Hicks was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including solicitation to commit murder.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said it received the tip on Tuesday about the threat, and the FBI offices in Charlotte and Houston worked with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office to apprehend Hicks.

She's accused of conspiring to "kill as many Jews as possible" in 2028 by driving through the congregation at Beth Israel, according to court documents.



Hicks, of Lexington, was being held in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $10 million bond. She is expected to appear in court on May 12.
