One Powerball ticket sold in Union County matched all five regular numbers but missed the Powerball number.
Don't feel too bad for that person - they still won $1 million with the ticket they bought at Sam's Mart on N.C. 74 East in Indian Trail, NC.
Still though...
Four other North Carolina-based tickets yielded substantial prizes, too.
Three people won $200,000. They bought their tickets at:
- Alco, N.C. 52 North, Albemarle (Stanly County)
- Citistop, Patton Avenue, Asheville (Buncombe County)
- East Havelock Fuel Market, East Main Street, Havelock (Craven County)
Another person won $50,000 with a ticket bought at Sheetz on Glenn Center Drive in Kernersville (Forsyth County).

Because no one matched all six numbers, the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing has swollen to about $650 million. If won, it would be the second-largest Powerball jackpot ever awarded.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292 million. Four times North Carolina players have had jackpot luck, winning $74.5 million to $188 million.
