The rain started in parts of the Triangle and was heavy at times by late afternoon. The rain continued through the night.

By Tuesday, it's looking brighter. The weather heats up Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures reaching the upper 80s.
Storm chances are a possibility on Friday and Saturday.
