Pedestrian critically injured in crash with car on Raleigh's Capital Boulevard

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A pedestrian was critically injured Tuesday night in a crash with a car, police said.

Officers responded shortly before 8 p.m. to Capital Boulevard at Trawick Road.

The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for more than three hours.

Raeigh police and fire at the scene where the pedestrian was struck Tuesday night.



It reopened shortly after 11 p.m.



The crash remains under investigation.

No other details were immediately released.
