Pedestrian hit, critically injured in crash, Cary Police say

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A pedestrian was critically injured after he was hit by a car in Cary on Thursday night.

Cary Police said it happened at N. Harrison Avenue and NW Maynard Road.

Officers arrived and determined that a man had been been struck by a silver Honda Accord.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Honda Accord remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, Cary Police said.



Southbound travel lanes of N. Harrison Avenue are closed while officers investigate. Drivers are asked to use caution while traveling through the area.
