It happened on Hypony Trail in the Parkton/Hope Mills area.

Crews at the scene told ABC11 that there were about a dozen police markers on the road where shell casings were found.
The unidentified victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment.

The victim was released from the hospital Saturday afternoon.
The sheriff's office said it is still investigating and tracking down leads.
