2 teens charged in Durham, Burlington armed robberies

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two teenagers are facing charges for armed robbery in Durham over Pokémon cards

On Wednesday, police officers responded just before midnight to Elmira Park in the 500 block of Elmira Avenue to investigate a report of an armed robbery after people arranged to meet and purchase Pokémon trading cards.

During the investigation, detectives learned of a similar robbery under investigation by the Burlington Police Department.

Durham Police worked with their Burlington counterparts and identified two people as suspects in both crimes.

Kaire Dixon, 19, was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with both incidents.



Police also issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Cheo White for the same charges. White is not in custody.
