Hope Mills police investigating after man found shot to death

HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police in Hope Mills say they are investigating after a man was found shot to death. They said they are considering it a homicide.

Authorities say they responded to a call around 8:15 a.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, they found a dead male with a gunshot wound.

Police say they have not determined a motive but the incident does not appear to be random. The victim has not been identified but was sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
