The Red Hat Amphitheater announced Wednesday afternoon that The Rink is closing early for the 2025 season.
The last day of skating is Dec. 28.
In a post on its Facebook Page, it made this statement:
"The Rink season will end early this year to support recovery efforts at the Raleigh Convention Center. Our last day of skating will be December 28th. All ticket holders for December 29-January 4 have been refunded. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you on the ice before the season wraps!"
ABC11 has learned the space at the Red Hat Amphitheater will be used as a mobile kitchen for the Raleigh Convention Center.
The Rink officially opened on Nov. 22, the weekend of the Raleigh Christmas Parade, and was scheduled to operate through Jan. 4.
