GRAHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Raleigh man has been charged with second-degree murder without regard in a deadly crash that happened in March in Alamance County.

Graham Police said TaiSean Malachi Jones, 24, was taken into custody and charged Saturday in connection with the March 28 crash that left a woman dead.

The crash happened just after 9:15 p.m. at South Main Street and Moore Street in Graham. Investigators said Jones failed to stop at a red light, and his 2020 Jeep Wrangler collided with a 1999 Ford Mustang driven by a 19-year-old Graham woman.

The Jeep overturned, and Jones' passenger, Imani Janel Vaughn, 29, of Graham, was killed.

Investigators also alleged that Jones was impaired by alcohol and drugs at the time of the crash.

Jones, who was hospitalized with serious injuries after the crash, was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center and held without bond.

Anyone with additional information concerning this case is asked to call Sgt. Way at (336) 570-6711.
