16-year-old shot in Raleigh; police searching for 'older teen' suspect

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A 16-year-old was shot in Raleigh as police continue to search for a suspect they believe may be an "older teen."

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 4700 block of Dansey Drive.

When officers arrived, they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Investigators have not released details about what led up to the shooting, but say they are actively looking for a suspect believed to be an older teenager.

No arrests have been announced.



The case remains under investigation, and police have not said whether the people involved knew each other.
