DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Morrisville man has been arraigned in connection with the shooting death of a co-worker at Randy's Pizza in Durham.

The incident happened Thursday evening at the South Miami Boulevard location.

ABC11 learned that the victim, Mohammed Aly, and the defendant, Isaiah Rawlinson, 30, both worked at the store.

The owner told ABC11 that the shooting happened inside the pizzeria, and it appears an argument escalated.

A judge ordered that Rawlinson be held in jail without bond. He was charged with first-degree murder and appointed a public defender.

Randy Smith, the owner of Randy's Pizza, said in a statement, "We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our team member. This is an unimaginable loss. We are cooperating fully with law enforcement during their investigation. Because this is an active investigation, we cannot provide additional details at this time. We ask for privacy and respect for those affected."

Randy's Pizza is closed until further notice.

ABC11 also learned that because the shooting happened inside a place of business, OSHA and the State Health Department will have to investigate before it can reopen.
