ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WTVD) -- New video from Wednesday afternoon shows a man driving into the side of an Amtrak train in Rocky Mount.

In the video, lights are seen flashing, and the driver goes around the stop arm and hits the side of the train.

It happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. at the Bassett Street crossing.

Officials said no one was hurt, but there was some damage to the train engine, causing the crossing to be closed for several hours.

Police say Tai Vu, 34, of Rocky Mount, was behind the wheel of the car.

Vu was charged with failure to stop for railroad crossing arms, careless and reckless driving and not having a driver's license.
