RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man was arrested and charged in connection with an attempted robbery at a bank on Glenwood Avenue.
It happened just after noon on June 2 at SouthState Bank, 4901 Glenwood Ave.
Officers responded to a call about an armed robbery. When officers arrived, they found that the suspect had threatened a teller with a handwritten note and attempted to take cash from the bank.
Police said the suspect then left the scene before officers arrived.
After an investigation, authorities arrested 45-year-old Weylen Clemmons on July 15. He was charged with attempted common law robbery.
