RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man facing assault charges in a shooting is now charged with murder after the victim died.
The shooting happened just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Star Street.
Timothy Terrell Crandell, 54, was found with a gunshot wound early that morning and taken to a hospital. He died Thursday from his injuries.
Raleigh police arrested Vincent Dasani Wesley, 22, on Wednesday and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon and intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
RPD said Friday that Wesley is now charged with murder.
