RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A dump truck driver is in the fight of his life after almost crashing into a North Raleigh home.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon on Victory Church Road, near Glenfiddich Way.
The State Highway Patrol said the driver went off the left side of the road, hit a ditch, and plowed through several trees.
The driver of the dump truck is in critical condition, according to authorities.
Troopers say speed was a factor in the crash, and that there were no other cars involved.
