Antwan Ward, 49, died at a hospital days after the assault in the 4500 block of Capital Boulevard.
Investigators said Saturday that the stabbing happened during a domestic dispute between the Ward and another man.
The suspect fled the scene, but RPD said that Samuel Horne, 37, was arrested Tuesday.
Horne was charged with murder.
The case remains under investigation.
