In the video, Carrey uses a kitchen mixing bowl as a guideline to cut the hair, placing on the male volunteer's head like a hat. Within seconds, the man's long locks are scissored-down, dramatically changing his appearance. After the reveal, Kimmel asks the man if he's in shock.
"Nah, I'm psyched. Jim Carrey just cut my hair."
In the second haircut, arrey says he's going to "eye-bowl this one," forgoing the bowl completely. Immediately, he goes to town chopping random chunks out of the woman's hair. Nobody anticipated that she'd quickly be begging for him to bring back the bowl.
"Where's the bowl? I feel more comfortable with the bowl!" exclaimed the woman.
After Carrey reveals the true awfulness of her haircut, buzzed completely down except for a hand-shape at the top of her head, Carrey says "It symbolizes the control I have over the mind of my fans."
Jim Carrey appeared on the show promoting the sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, which opened to theaters on Friday, Nov. 14.
