Vehicle pursuit leads to arrest of 3 women in Wake County

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Three women were arrested following a vehicle pursuit in Wake County, according to the sheriff's office.

The chase began around 11 a.m. Friday, a deputy attempted to stop a speeding driver on I-40 E near I-87, but the driver refused to stop.

The pursuit continued through Poole Road, New Bern Ave, I-440, I-87, and US-64. At one point, the driver and passenger switched seats, with the passenger taking over driving.

The car came to a stop at US-64 and Shepard School Road near Zebulon, where deputies arrested the three occupants.

Deziyah Santiago, 20, was charged with felony flee to elude arrest, felony conspiracy, speeding, and reckless driving to endanger, among other charges.



Laqueisha Everett, 34, was charged with felony conspiracy and resisting a public officer.

Tiffany Barrett, 31, was charged with felony flee to elude arrest, felony conspiracy, reckless driving to endanger, and speeding, among other charges. Unrelated to the pursuit, deputies learned Barrett had several outstanding warrants, which they served.

All three women are residents of Greenville.

The incident remains under investigation.
