Authorities received a call from the 4900 block of Raleigh Road Parkway regarding a domestic violence situation that was in progress. While officers were en route, they learned a woman had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found 54-year-old Khisa Hhalille Williams suffering from a gunshot wound.
Williams was taken to UNC Health but died while being transported to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
