A woman is dead after getting hit by a car on I-440, Raleigh police said.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on I-440 between Wake Forest Road and Six Forks Road. According to authorities, Qui Yana Kellon, 30, was walking along the white lane dividers in the travel lanes when she was struck by a 2024 Hyundai Elantra.
After the initial collision, Kellon was struck by other vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene.
All drivers involved remained at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
All westbound lanes were closed due to the crash for several hours.
