Johnston County sheriff's deputies are investigating after a woman's body was found along a road in Johnston County.
Officers responded to the scene off Pierce Road at around 9 p.m. Dec. 28.

The body, which officers later identified as Jennifer Michelle, 34, was found just off the roadway.

Investigators said Michelle's cause of death does not appear to be suspicious, but the death investigation continues.
