Man charged in Rocky Mount bank robbery

ROCKY MOUNT, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Police say they've identified the man who robbed a State Employee's Credit Union in Rocky Mount Friday morning.

The Rocky Mount Police Department said 44-year-old Kenneth Earl Cooper is now in the Edgecombe County Jail.

Detectives said Cooper robbed the State Employees Credit Union on N. Fairview Rd. just before 10 a.m. Friday and fled on foot.
