Officers responded just before 1:15 p.m. to a Wells Fargo branch at 1400 Benvenue Road.

Investigators said a man wearing a face mask and a dark-colored hoodie passed a note to the teller and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before running out of the bank and fleeing on foot.
No weapon was displayed.
On Dec. 19, police arrested and charged Mahmoud Shehadeh, 38, of Rocky Mount with common law robbery. he is being held at the Nash County Jail under a $60,000 bond.
Officers said during the investigation 34-year-old Tarris Jones of Rocky Mount was identified as assisting Shehadeh with concealing an undisclosed amount of money from the bank. Jones is charged with accessory after the fact. He is being held at the Nash County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

Police said no injuries were reported.
