FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- There was more security at Seventy-First High School on Monday following a shooting after a football game against Cape Fear High School.

The shooting left two men injured on Friday. The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office responded to a shots fired call just before 10 p.m. Friday and found a 19-year-old Phillip Lytch and 18-year-old Frank Haskins III with non life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement officers also recovered and towed away at Ford Focus in the parking lot of Seventy-First Classical Middle School; located adjacent to the neighboring high school.

Following the shooting, CCSO was made aware of an Instagram post threatening violence at the high school during school hours Monday morning. Later, CCSO charged a 15-year-old ninth grade student at Seventy-First High School with communicating threats on educational property.

It is unclear if that student had any direct involvement with Friday evening's shooting.

Additionally, law enforcement has yet to announce any arrests following the shooting or information looking for a suspect.

Cumberland County Schools confirmed with ABC11 that both Lytch and Haskings III were not current students. The district has yet to say if both men were former students.

Monday, additional law enforcement could be seen outside of the school; including a K9.

In a press release, CCS wrote, "Our thoughts are with the Seventy-First High School Family and the individuals recovering from this incident of violence. We want to assure you that across the district, we make every effort to keep our students and staff safe. We have security plans in place that are specific to each school, we review safety procedures with students and staff, and we work in collaboration with local law enforcement to maintain a safe learning environment."

The district is also urging parents to remind their children to be vigilant and if they see something unusual or suspicious, then to contact law enforcement.
