Deputies search for suspect in north Durham shooting

DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect in a shooting that happened Saturday afternoon in north Durham.

Investigators are looking for 28-year-old Levinne Thomas McNeill, who was last seen riding in a 2006 charcoal gray Nissan Altima. The vehicle was described as having a moon roof, tinted windows, rain guards on the windows, a dent on the front bumper, missing paint on the driver's side, and was possibly displaying a North Carolina registration plate of PBH 5366.

McNeill is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury and should be considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting happened around 3:20 p.m. on Melanie Street. One man was taken to the hospital with an arm injury.

The victim's identity has not been released.
