SELMA, N.C. (WTVD) -- One fuel tanker rear-ended another Wednesday morning in Selma.
According to Johnston County officials, the crash happened around 5:20 on Pollock Street (US-301) at the intersection of US-70 Business.

Two people were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
Selma Fire Department is handling the cleanup, but there are no public health concerns related to the crash. The fuel in the crashed tanker was able to be transferred safely to a new tanker.

Traffic had to be diverted around the intersection during the cleanup process.
