2017 worst on record for ticks due to mild winter, CDC says

NORTH CAROLINA (WTVD) -- Scientists are predicting that ticks will be particularly bad in 2017 because of North Carolina's mild winter.

They said ticks can carry Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, so North Carolina residents need to be extra careful when they're outside this summer.
