General Hospital Spotlight: Rory Gibson thrives in the chaos as Michael Corinthos

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Rory Gibson joined the cast of General Hospital in May of 2025 as Michael Corinthos. He recently sat down with ABC11 Photojournalist and GH Insider Dearon Smith and discussed what his first 6 months in Port Charles have meant to him and what else fans can expect in the coming months.

Being a recast is no stranger to Gibson, and he tells ABC11 that the fan reaction has been nothing but positive.

Gibson says he welcomed and thrives on the "chaos" that comes with his character. Between a child custody battle with Willow (Katie MacMullen), as well as the attempted murder of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), in which Michael is one of the prime suspects.

He will be making his debut as a presenter at the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards.
