RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A major weekend traffic shift is underway in Raleigh as crews work to finish a key interchange.
Starting Friday night, Western Boulevard and its connections to the Raleigh Beltline (I-440) will be closed as contractors move the project into its final configuration.
Drivers should expect detours and delays if they travel through the area this weekend. Officials are urging motorists to plan and allow extra time.
Traffic reporter Ana Rivera breaks down what routes to take instead and how the closures could impact your commute in the video above.
