Chicago's Cook County Jail has a garden that is entirely taken care of by inmates.
They plant, grow and harvest the crops that are then sold to farmer's markets and high-end restaurants around Chicago. Gardening helps the inmates be at peace and learn valuable skills they can later apply to other jobs outside of the jail.

Not only do they harvest, but they also weed and maintain the grounds.
"It makes me feel good that I'm part of that process," said one inmate.

Everything in the garden is either donated or sold.
