The shooter is described as being 5-foot 9-inches to 5-foot 11-inches slim build with short dreads wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, white undershirt with white tennis shoes using a dark bandana to cover his face, armed with a small-caliber handgun.

"Well, I'm just alarmed to hear it. Like I said, I saw it on the internet, I didn't know. I shop here all the time. It's kind of close to home. I've seen a lot of violent things in Goldsboro lately, and it's just alarming to be this close to home actually," said Curtis Lewis, a frequent shopper.

Anyone with information about the shooting and robbery is asked to contact the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at 919-731-1480 or Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255 and callers can remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward for their tip.

"It's sad that people have to go to that extreme just to - I don't know what he came out with - a little cash or groceries or whatever they were trying to achieve," said Lewis.

Wayne County Sheriff's office declined to comment on what was taken from the store.
