Raleigh's annual MLK memorial march scheduled for Monday, January 17 in Downtown Raleigh has been cancelled. Organizers announced on Facebook Sunday that "they made the decision to cancel the event due to potential hazardous effects of current inclement weather."
Wake and Durham public school and athletic event shave been cancelled for Monday due to the weather.
Also, the annual Martin Luther King Day Brunch hosted by the Cumberland County Ministerial Council has been postponed, a tentative date for the event is now set for February 21, 2022.
