It happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.
Police said 50-year-old Tawanda Peters died on the way to the hospital.
The incident is still under investigation. No charges have been filed, and police said and speed does not appear to be a factor.
