A note from the school alerted parents that all students were safe but that someone had posted a bomb threat on a Google document.

As a precaution, students and staff evacuated the school while law enforcement investigated the building. After more than an hour, investigators confirmed the school was clear and that the bomb threat was unfounded.

Students and staff were allowed to return to the building around 1:30 p.m.

School administrators said they would continue the school day and dismiss students at 3 p.m. as usual. However, parents interested in picking their children up early could take Fussel Avenue and follow carpool procedures.

"We continue to thank WCPSS Security, law enforcement and our students and teachers for their quick and calm response to the situation today. Thank you for your continued patience and support of our school," a message from the school read.
