A short time later Vega-Lesama moved back toward the front of the home with a gun still in his hand.
That's when Sirianna opened fire, hitting the suspect and killing him.
The middle school was placed on a CODE YELLOW status for a short-time while the incident was taking place.
State Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation in the shooting. Raleigh Police Department is looking into reports that the suspect was firing his gun at vehicles before shooting at police.
