Those precincts are in Columbus, Robeson and Wilson counties and will be open until 8:30 p.m. SBOE said it won't start counting votes in the affected precincts until after 8:30 p.m. tonight.
The extension applies to the following precincts:
- Columbus County: Ransom Event Center, 2696 General Howe Highway, Riegelwood, NC
- Robeson County: Gaddys Township Volunteer Fire Department, 1022 Gerald Road, Fairmont, NC
- Wilson County: Sanoca Volunteer Fire Station, 6903 Church St., Saratoga, NC
The BOE later voted unanimously Tuesday to extend voting at a Craven County precinct by 25 minutes, to 7:55 p.m.
That precinct is at the River Bend Municipal Building, 51 Shoreline Drive, New Bern, NC.
Voting was disrupted there when election officials had to replenish their ballot supply.
