Man arrested in connection with multiple thefts, crash in Person County

PERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Person County Sheriff's Office said it has arrested a man wanted in connection with multiple stolen vehicles and guns. He is also thought to be responsible for a car crash early Thursday morning.

South Elementary School and Southern Middle School in Roxboro were on a soft lockdown while officers searched for the suspect, according to Sheriff Jason Wilborn.
