Raleigh police said detectives obtained a secure custody order Friday for a 15-year-old in connection with violence that occurred in the Brier Creek area on July 4.
Members of the Raleigh Police Department's Fugitive Unit, with assistance from the Durham County Sheriff's Office, took the teen into custody in Durham County. The teen was then taken to a juvenile detention facility in Raleigh.
The juvenile faces the following charges:
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill
- Two counts of Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Property
- Felony Riot
- Going Armed to the Terror of the Public
- Possession of a Firearm by a Minor
Police said six juveniles have now been charged in four shooting investigations tied to the July 4 incidents.
The investigations into shootings at 700 Tucker St. and 620 W. Lane St. remain active.
The Raleigh Police Department thanked the Durham County Sheriff's Office for its assistance in taking the juvenile into custody and said the investigation remains ongoing.
