Warrants are out for Nicholas Gallardo and Courtney Jordan. Gallardo is the CFO of the foundation and Jordan is the founder.
Gallardo and Jordan's charges stem from a complaint related to allegedly receiving a large amount of cash in documented payments for what was described as an investment fund.
After the complainant determined the fund was not being operated as agreed upon, a request was made for the money to be returned.
Gallardo provided a check that bounced.
As the investigation continued, investigators found the foundation was associated with similar false investment funds and unpaid obligations.
"I feel like we're getting somewhere. I feel like there's hope. I just don't want this to happen to anyone else," said Crystal Graves, former Executive Director OF CJF Durham.
Graves was responsible for organizing summer camp activities for nearly 100 kids a day. She said the foundation owes her more than $10,000. Her coworkers still have not been paid.
"It's emotional when you have people calling, saying What do I do when I have to pay a bill? What do I do to hold them accountable? How are they able to do this," questioned Graves.
Graves and other former employees tell Eyewitness News this is the outcome they hoped for.
"We're not expecting to get all of our money back. We hope the judge holds them accountable to pay us back. We're really hoping for that, but for the most part, they won't be able to do this to anyone else," she said.
ABC11 Troubleshooter Diane Wilson has been following CJF America and claims that some of its employees were not being paid.
A lawsuit has been filed against CJF America and its executives.
The lawsuit was filed in Durham County, where CJF America is based, and filed by seven former employees who alleged CJF did not pay them for the work they did for the foundation.
