Power mostly restored across Triangle after Saturday night storms

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A severe weather risk is in place again on Sunday as storms continue to pass through the Triangle overnight.

Saturday night, Duke Energy reported that about 3,000 customers lost power as storms rolled through.

Weekend Timeline


According to ABC11 meteorologists, rounds of showers and storms will continue moving through Central NC through 10 a.m. Sunday. There is a Level 1 severe risk for damaging winds and hail.

An isolated strong storm is possible again on Sunday afternoon



The front will slowly push through as showers and thunderstorms continue, bringing cooler weather, keeping conditions unsettled.



Looking Ahead



Monday will stay unsettled with the front still hanging out to the west. There is some risk of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs will be in the low 80s.

Drier air will move in on Tuesday as the front pushes through the area. Expect partly cloudy skies with highs in the low 80s.



High pressure will keep things dry on Wednesday before another system brings rain and storms back on Thursday.
